Claims Handler

To support our continued growth, we are looking for a Claims Handler to join our Marine Liaison Team at our headquarters in Zwijndrecht.

About the role

As a Claims Handler, you will manage maritime and transport claims from A to Z. You will act as a key contact for our clients and coordinate the different parties involved throughout the claims process.

Your day-to-day work includes assessing incoming claims, coordinating surveys, reviewing documentation and reports, investigating the cause and extent of damage, calculating claim amounts and preparing final reports. You will also maintain close contact with brokers, exporters, insurers, surveyors, lawyers and other partners, representing the interests of our clients throughout the process.

The role offers a high degree of autonomy and responsibility, combined with an international and varied range of contacts.

About you

We are looking for a proactive and organised person with an analytical mindset and strong communication skills. You enjoy taking ownership of cases, working with different stakeholders and finding practical solutions for clients.

Experience or knowledge in claims, insurance, logistics, transport or the maritime sector is an advantage, but is not a requirement.

We are equally interested in candidates with a relevant background and a strong willingness to learn.

You are comfortable working in an international environment and have a strong command of English, both written and spoken.
